Time is not always on your side

I have mentioned in my previous posts about another couple who blogs and how they lost their baby due to SIDS. Today was their daughter(Maddie) 8th month birthday. She said that some days are harder than others but "Friday I think will be the true test of my strength. Friday is the day Maddie will be gone longer then she was here." That just made me cry. I am so lucky have Easton and celebrate all the small things he has done and will do. She also wrote "So, please remember not every day is guaranteed take pictures of your kids, love on this a little longer, give them 1 more kiss, let them stay up a few minutes later, give them that 1 piece of candy...because you just never know." In taking her advise I played with Easton a little longer today. While giving him a bath I splashed with him, made noises, and laughed.  We read more books than usual and while rocking him to sleep I just looked at him and thought about Kellie and James and how they do not get to have this. I am so blessed.
