Going to the zoo, zoo, zoo, how about you, you, you?

Actually we went to the zoo, but I thought it was a cute title. We finally went to the zoo. For those of you who don't know we have been planning to go to the zoo for the past 5 weeks. Every time we planned to go something in our life happened. Take for example about 3 weeks ago, remember my blog about the toilet and all the cleaning we had to do, yep that day we were suppose to go. Or how about the weekend after that, but James got called into work. So finally we on Sunday we just got up and went. No planning just packed all our things and left. Ha, I say packed everything like we were going on a weeks vacation.

Since this was our first time going with a child (baby) we learned many lessons about the zoo and what to do and what not to do.
  • Do NOT bring their favorite blanket. Yes, we did this and we didn't even get out of the tunnel and I realized that we lost Easton's green grasshopper blanket. The one he sleeps with all the time. Luckily, their was a nice lady that noticed that we dropped it and she found us.
  • Bring a hat for your child, even if it's not hot out. I think we were the only parents that did not have a hat for their child. I did not think to bring one since it was only 68. We had long sleeves, pants, gym shoes on. But at the end of the day Easton's and James' heads were burned. Easton's head wasn't bad but his nose and cheeks were. And we did not think to buy a hat
  • Don't bring a reusable bag to hold your wallet, cell phone, keys,  food, bottles, etc. Bring a backpack. We thought we were doing so good by bringing the bag but it made it worse. Every time we went in an exhibit we had to search through the bag to get my wallet, phone, and keys. And my or James pockets don't hold that much. Plus carrying Easton around with all that stuff is hard.
  • Don't go when they are holding a 10th birthday party for the children's zoo. There were a million people in one section of the zoo. and of course it was in the main section. Trying to move around people with a stroller and another person is hard.

This wasn't even 1/2 of the people

  • It doesn't matter if you want your kid to look at the camera or pose with the animals, they will be intrested in other everyday things. I tried so hard to have Easton pose with animals. I pointed to the animals to show him, but everyitme he saw a goose or waterfalls he went crazy. Hello, we have those things at home. Ok, not the waterfall, but we have water that comes out of a faucet.
  • Let the fun begin
    I wonder what's over there?
    Looking at the camels
I give this a thumbs up
    Daddy and Easton
What are you doing to me?
Daddy isn't as tall as a polar bear
He's more like a grizzly bear
James and I both wanted to take this picture because
we thought of Spongbob the cartoon. Do you know who this is?
    It's Patrick from Spongbob
Not looking at the rock, but the water moving
Not looking at the monkies, but the waterfall
    One tired baby
