We did it. We finally switched from crib to a twin bed. And knock on wood, it was somewhat easy. The past three to four weeks Easton
did not WOULD NOT go into his crib. He would scream, throw things, try to climb out of it. So we let him fall asleep in
our my bed. I would move him to his crib once he was sound asleep but when he woke up in the middle of the night he would scream so loud and hard that it was just easier for me to have him sleep with me than fight with him. Hey, I need my sleep too. So we bought him a new bed. My Uncle Wally gave us the head board and frame for the bed and we bought the mattress. The first night James put him asleep and we was out within 5 minutes and slept for more than half the night. The second night I tried putting him to sleep but that did not seem to work. He was running on his bed, yelling, hitting the wall, etc. James walked right in and Easton layed flat on his back put his paci in his mouth and fell asleep. So I think from now on I will give baths and James will put him to sleep. But I have to say I did put him to sleep today and it only took 15 minutes. Which is good when I put him to sleep. You will see in the pictures that we don't have rails up just a blanket rolled up on the side. He has not fallen out yet, so hopefully the blanket thing will continue to work. Oh, and we don't have the head board up for two reasons. The main one because Easton found out that his small butt could fit up there and he could sit on the shelf. And the other reason is we need to get longer screws to screw it into the bed frame. But I think everthing is working out.

The last night in the crib
Don't mind the messiness. I didn't plan
on taking pictures
Don't let the photo fool you. He was just taking off the bedding
After I took off most of the screws he thought it would be "nice" to help
All the sheets and crud that was in Easton's closet
Wheew, it takes a lot of energy to clean out a little boys closet
Not sure what is going on here. But eww, look at his legs
and how they turn in. Silly boy
All ready to be packed up
Taking a nap before the sheets were washed
Yep, mid air running. Seems about right
