Bath time once again

Dare I say it, that bath time is becoming a little more fun. Easton is now able to play with the toys and not just throw them around. Back when he was very little, I saw this cool bath kit and I had to get it. I couldn't wait to use it. I placed it on his shelf and time went on, days went by, and I forgot about it. Well, I cleaned his closet when we got his bed and found the "had to get" bath kit. Boy am I glad we got it. This thing is so cool. I even got into it and played for a little bit. And it's only paint, holder, and a sponge. You are suppose to paint on the sponge but as we all know kids don't use the items as intended.
The paint

Holder

Sponge

The very first picture and he is
using it correctly.

Oh, but we have to paint the other side too

So into it

Love, love this picture. Easton heard a noise outside and
had to be nosey and see what was happening. fyi, it was James
talking on the phone

Easton decided the we needed to paint
the floor too

But that's ok because I got this cute happy
boy loving his bath time
Yes, bath time takes much longer now that we have things to play with. But I love that such small things make him happy. And to show you how big he has gotten, he now takes showers. I'm glad that water is included in our association fees because I let him take long baths and showers

Big Boy Bed

We did it. We finally switched from crib to a twin bed. And knock on wood, it was somewhat easy. The past three to four weeks Easton did not  WOULD NOT go into his crib. He would scream, throw things, try to climb out of it. So we let him fall asleep in our  my bed. I would move him to his crib once he was sound asleep but when he woke up in the middle of the night he would scream so loud and hard that it was just easier for me to have him sleep with me than fight with him. Hey, I need my sleep too. So we bought him a new bed. My Uncle Wally gave us the head board and frame for the bed and we bought the mattress. The first night James put him asleep and we was out within 5 minutes and slept for more  than half the night. The second night I tried putting him to sleep but that did not seem to work. He was running on his bed, yelling, hitting the wall, etc. James walked right in and Easton layed flat on his back put his paci in his mouth and fell asleep. So I think from now on I will give baths and James will put him to sleep. But I have to say I did put him to sleep today and it only took 15 minutes. Which is good when I put him to sleep. You will see in the pictures that we don't have rails up just a blanket rolled up on the side. He has not fallen out yet, so hopefully the blanket thing will continue to work. Oh, and we don't have the head board up for two reasons. The main one because Easton found out that his small butt could fit up there and he could sit on the shelf. And the other reason is we need to get longer screws to screw it into the bed frame. But I think everthing is working out.
The last night in the crib

Don't mind the messiness. I didn't plan
on taking pictures

Don't let the photo fool you. He was just taking off the bedding

After I took off most of the screws he thought it would be "nice" to help

All the sheets and crud that was in Easton's closet

Wheew, it takes a lot of energy to clean out a little boys closet

Not sure what is going on here. But eww, look at his legs
and how they turn in. Silly boy

All ready to be packed up

Taking a nap before the sheets were washed

Yep, mid air running. Seems about right

Dentist

Go back in time...to November of 2011. James and I were deciding whether or not to get dental insurance for Easton. And we both said no. He doesn't have teeth yet. Well we really didnt think that through because in a couple of months he had teeth everywhere. Well everywhere in his mouth. So needless to say Easton is almost 2 and has not been to the dentist. Until now. A dentist came to KinderCare and was offering cleanings and exams to all children. Even if you did not have insurance. So Easton's name was first on the sign up sheet. At first Easton was not to sure about this man putting his fingers in his mouth and then trying to look in it. But within a couple of minutes he was fine. Especially when he got a tooth brush. Easton wouldn't let that thing go. He has all his teeth(except the two year molors) and NO cavities. Wheeew, that was a major concern. BUT he did say something about his teeth. His two front teeth are pushing forward due to him having the paci. And it was always James and mine thinking that by 2 Easton would not hav a paci. And that is still what we plan on doing. The dentist said stop right away but I told him straight forward....we are trying to get him into a "regular" bed, my husband started a new job so our daily routines are carzy, and potty trainging is a runner up on things to do. But I promise we will not give it to him as much. So we have kepts our promise, he only gets it at nap time and bed time. I'm not too worried about hs teeth and the paci. So for now we are working on transitioning him into a twin bed.( there will be a post about that soon!!!)

* I know some words are spelled wring but for some reason my spell check is not working. And to be honest Im too tired to go back and correct some words !!!
