1 year old note
Dear Easton,
Oh, where to begin. I keep saying it, but your growing up way too fast. A year has come and gone. But within that year you have become your own person. I look at you and I see you, not your dad or me, but you. You know what you want and when you want it. At dinner the other day you shook your head back and forth "telling" me no, that you did not want that food. You are up to 6-7 oz on bottles. Well, we are slowly getting you off of bottles. You have one morning bottle and night bottle but everything else is in a sippy cup. I think that if I let you have sippy cups all day you would be fine, but there is a small part of me that can't let go of giving you a bottle at night. that is our time together where no one bothers us and me feeding you is what I love. Even though you hold you bottle I still feel like your a baby at night. You make funny sounds when you see food "maum" and when we ask you how do you chew food you move your lips together and make a funny sound. I love it. You dad and me are going to start giving you milk very slowly. You were a little sick the week of your birthday but smiled all the time. Everyone who sees you says your such a happy baby. You smile and wave at anyone and everyone. Our house now looks like a McDonalds play land. We have a ball pit, cars, tunnels, puzzles, riding atv, moving dinosaur, and so many other toys. But yet, you love playing with your socks. Sometimes when I have to clean something and you won't let me, I hand you two socks, and you will crawl with them for hours. And yes, I mean hours. On time I went to change you and you brought your socks with and played with them while I changed you. Which by the way is so hard to do. You are the only kid I know that hates getting his diaper changed. You move and toss, and try to fling yourself off of the changing table. It takes two-three people to change you. Oh, and getting you dress, ha, forget that. That takes a whole army. Usually what your dad and me do is I put on your shirt(which most of the time is easy) then you had holds you and dangles you while I put on your pants. But of course you can't make it that easy you move you feet like yo are running a marathon. But no matter what you do or how you act your dad and I will always love you.
Happy 1st birthday!!!
Love,
Mom

1st birthday
I can't believe that one year has passed and Easton is now 1 years old. I'm not going to lie, I cried a little because my baby is growing up. Friday was his actual birthday. The day started of course with pictures. We took picutres of him waking up as a 1 year old.
The grandparents went with us to breakfast. We went to a resturant that Easton goes to with James on days he has off. So the waitresses sang Happy Birthday to him. That meant so much.
After breakfast we went home planning on having him open presents but Easton had other plans, a nap. So we let him nap while we tried everything in our power not to wake him up. After two looooong hours he finally woke up. But of course it was like any other day to him so he wanted lunch. Then of course wanted to play. So after all that it was already 4:30pm. We diecided to order dinner(chinese) then we were going to have him open presents and have a cupcake. Now, this is even hard for me to type because I really am against giving him sugar this early on, but it was his birthday and I didn't want him to come back to me when he is older and say he is the way he is because I didn't give him sugar on his 1st birthday(hehe).
I will post more pictures maybe tomorrow but right now it's late and I really want to go to bed.

| This table cloth is what my family always put on when it was someones birthday. Now Easton can have the same tradition |
