I wrote a letter to Easton and thought I would share it, since this blog will be turned into a book.

Easton,
Hi, it's me mom. Today you are 9 months. I was just thinking about how last summer I was pregnant with you and I thought time was going by so slow because you couldn't come fast enough. Now, I think how time goes by so fast. You are now around 27 inches and I bet around 15 pounds( we will have to wait until next week to get exact numbers, that's when your doctors appointment is).You drink 5 oz bottles(about 5 a day). You are fully crawling on your hands and knees. Oh, and you are pulling yourself up on everything. You are the only baby that I know that teeths for 4 months. But this month I can see and feel the tooth. I wish it would just come in along with all the other teeth. But as much as I can tell teething hurts you, you are a very happy baby. You smile and laugh at everyone. You also know how to wave. You make everyone laugh when you do that. Your dad and I have given you fresh green beans, whole wheat bread, and bananas. You love them all. I hope that you have your fathers taste. He will try anything at least once. Me on the other hand, I like certain food and that's the only food I will eat. But either way I know you will eat. You have your dad and me wrapped around your finger. Oh, I meant your dad, me, all four grandparents, and aunts and uncles. You changed everyone for the better. Everything I do is for you. I love that I still get to rock you to sleep and "sing" you songs while holding you. I know those days will soon come to an end so I chairsh these days more than anything. Now, I think I'm done with the sappy part of this letter. I know it seems like a novel but it's only a letter. I have started to plan your 1st birthday. We are doing a jungle theme. We have bought the plates, napkins, streamers, balloons, good bags, pop, etc. Your dad and I hope to get sub sandwiches and turn them into snakes. We shall see in a couple of months if this really happens. As, I end this note I just want you to know that you mean everything to your dad and me. We both love you to the moon and back.

9 month check up
Hello. I'm back. Life got to me and I haven't had time to really sit down and blog. I attempted, I really did but I'm back in action.
Yesterday(August 1, 2011) Easton went for his 9 month check up. I swear this kid knows when he will be getting shots because he all the sudden becomes sick so we have to hold off on the shot part. And of course this happened for the 9 month old check up. But they did all the other fun things. He is 29 inches long and weighs 16 lbs. Which means he is in the 75-85% for height and under 4% for weight. But the one thing I love about his doctor is she does not go by the percent tile but by his own chart. Which makes me feel good. I know that I do compare him to other children, wondering if he is too skinny, or is he crawling like the other children, even wondering if his teeth are coming in like the other kids his age. But she re-assured me that he is healthy(well other than having a cold). The doctor gave the okay for Easton to eat all foods that we think he can handle other than milk and full dairy products. Before we went we have tried fresh green beans, whole wheat bread and water in a sippy cup. When we got home from the doctors office I went straight to the freezer made a veggie burger, with whole wheat bread, and a banana. He loves bread, he's like a duck. and any fruit you put in front of him he will eat. The veggie burger he wasn't too sure but he tried some and then left a whole lot on his tray. But oh well, we will try again next week with the burger.
