A fun filled Memorial Day wekend

This past weekend was Memorial Day.
Flags all along the curb by a neighbors house

A tribute to a fallen solider

It rained on Saturday and Sunday but on Monday it was a hot 90 with sun as far as you could see. We thought that this would be the perfect time to let Easton play in a pool. We went to Wal-Mart, got a blow up pool, and let Easton play for as long as he wanted. The first time he went in he played for about 20 minutes and then was so tired he took a 1 1/2 hour nap.
Easton's new towel

Hmm, I'm not to sure about this

Now if I do this in the tub I get yelled at

What's this? It feels kind of weird

I wonder what's over here

Just chillin

I can almost "crawl" out of here

What?

Where is everyone?

After waking up and eating we then went for a walk came back to cool down and went in the pool for another 10 minutes. It was a great way to end the holiday weekend.

This is how he sat the entire way

Ahh, the smell of a clean house

After yesterdays fatality I called my mom and asked her to come over to help me clean the house. So that's all we did in the morning. I mean we not only cleaned but disinfected everything. We were on our hands and knees scrubbing every inch of the floor(especially in the bathrooms). I rented a carpet cleaner from Home Depot. We moved every single item that was touching the carpet in the ENTIRE house.  Every window was open and the wind was blowing into my house. Ahh, I love how my house looks. I even took pictures. If only smell could come with the pictures.
We moved every anything we found into the dining room

and the kitchen

and onto the couch

a clean house, minus a couple of things that still need to be put away

A nice CLEAN entryway

What a Sh***y day...literally

Part of being a grown up and a homeowner is dealing with gross icky things. But today I just couldn't do it. I came home thinking that this Memorial Day weekend was going to be awesome. I wasn't going to do anything, just relax and chill. But boy was I wrong. After being home for about 40 mins or so I walked over to the bathroom and stepped into water. "What the %*&$" is what I yelled out. I looked into the bathroom and saw water everywhere. So what's the first thing I do....call my dad. I call him crying not knowing what to do because now the water has run into my bathtub and onto my carpet. My dad tells me to get Draino and that should do it. I wipe up the water with my towels(because I apparently don't own a mop of any sorts) and then packed up Easton and went to Wal-Mart. I come home to find my brother. My dad told him what was going on and he came to help(after waiting about 30 mins because I was at Wal-Mart and did not bring my cell). So it comes to be that Robb talked to my neighbor and he had the same problem just not as bad. So it was my building fault. The plumber came fixed the problem(which was a sewer problem, how gross) and let us use his shock vac. When I say we, I mean my brother. He did all the cleaning I was feeding Easton. But he cleaned up the water and put every fan that I possible owned on. So not only is it freezing in my house but it literally smells like, S**t. Yep, that's how my Memorial Day weekend started. Let's hope this bad luck continues.

The pictures are not gross but I feel gross and dirty when I look at them because I know what was in that water.

All the towels that I used. I do not have ONE clean towel left in my house.
I guess I will be buying new ones.

The yummy residue that came up from into my shower

Minus the hair, that isn't dirt.

Robb to the rescue

All the fans to help dry the carpet
*Yes, I am getting my carpets clean so everyone can come over and not worry about stepping on my carpet barefoot. It will be the cleanist carpet ever!!

It's a beautiful day

The title says it all. Easton and I went for a walk on this awesome, perfect, beautiful day.

So happy to be outside

The geese were even enjoying the weather

The robins were singing

Passed out

1st haircut

Yep, at 6 1/2 months Easton got his first haircut. We went to the salon that I go to, Salon Divino. Gina cut his hair. It really wasn't a lot but enough to make a difference. Easton was starting to get a comb-over. So Gina cut just a little on the sides and front. The back didn't have enough length to cut. After looking at Easton's hair, we come to realize that he did inherit my hair, color and fineness.

On his way to get his 1st haircut

Outside of the salon

Hmmm, I wonder what she is going to do to me?
Those sharp things are getting closer and closer to my head

What's over there?

He wouldn't look straight  forward.
